From the renowned Westy Dip to the childhood favorite dino nuggets, Gund House has had an extensive selection of feeds this past term. Among the wide variety of feeds that the dorm has enjoyed, a few common favorites have emerged. In this article, I cover some of our dorm favorites that we should definitely repeat moving forward.
From the first floor, I interviewed my roommate, Luna Yang ‘26. She told me that she has “particularly enjoyed the joint feed between Ms. Smith and Mrs. Garcia’s halls.” She is talking about the ice cream and brownie feed, which included several ice cream flavors to choose from and freshly-baked brownies. The feed was certainly an excellent experience for all participants. From Ms. Smith’s hall, Emily Fonner ‘26 noted the excellent Kraft mac and cheese feed. Ms. Smith’s mac and cheese is certainly a late night microwave classic and a Gund favorite.
The Curtis’ second floor had a diverse range of favorites. Roommate duo Lucy Morton ‘26 and Grace Li ‘26 voiced similar tastes; both adored pizza bites. When Grace gushed, “they had tomato sauce and cheese and all those toppings,” Lucy jumped in with “oh yeah, all the feeds were great but that one stood out.” Anna Min ‘26, however, preferred the charcuterie board feed that she missed out on…interesting.
Last but not least, all the way up on the third floor, we have our Editor-in-Chief Alice Liu ‘23, who picked Mr. Marco’s brownies. Alice noted that the brownies perfectly combined softness with a layer of crustiness.
Although we couldn’t pick one overarching winner, I loved to see so much variety in our feeds. They show how our wonderful dorm parents go out of their way to wrap up our long days of school in a sweet–or savory–note. As the holiday season approaches, remember to show your appreciation for your dorm parents, teachers, friends, and family!
