By Kelly Youngman ’24In September, Westminster students began the school year with enthusiasm, excited to tackle the school year and resume playing sports. Westy has been an exuberant and cheerful experience for all students, new and returning. Students this year have shown great school spirit and determination in their studies as well as in their afternoon activities. Showing both grit and grace as they glide through their first month of school, and while bringing joy to campus. Flashing a smile, Cassie Goundrey ’24 shines a light on her hopes and expectations for the fall term noting “it’s good to be back. I’m excited to be here, meet new students and reconnect with friends. I’m happy to see where it goes.” Cassie’s comment reflects the amazing work Westminster has done to make everyone feel welcome and happy while being pushed to their greatest potential.
When it comes to fall sports, students display great hope and optimism for this season. Cassie told me that she hopes “for a successful season in field hockey. I like the team chemistry and know we will finish strong as the season goes on. Keep working hard is most important.” On and off campus, Martlets have shown their hard work and dedication in their commitments. Many are hopeful for an outstanding fall term.
