By Sunshine Li ’26On Friday, March 31, Monday, March 3 and Tuesday, March 4, around 200 new students came to visit–or revisit–our campus for Admitted Students’ Day, or as most of us call it, Revisit Day. Current Third Formers hosted incoming Third formers, Fourth Formers hosted soon-to-be sophomores, and so on. Admitted Students sat in on two classes, eating buffet-style lunch with their hosts in between them. Some hosts let their admitted students visit their dorm room, others took them to the Grill, and most took a quick trip to the Student Store to grab a snack or buy some Westy merchandise.
Revisit day can be a deciding factor for many admitted students as they truly get a taste of going to school here. From the teachers to the community to the lunch, revisit day allows admitted students to experience hands-on what it’s like to be here, so it’s important to highlight our school’s best attributes and hopefully sway them into joining our community. I was fortunate enough to host a student on Tuesday for Blocks 5 and 7, and a lot of my friends hosted either one or two students. My admitted student helped the group make our bridge for Physics, and read Romeo and Juliet in English. 2023’s Revisit Days were filled with nice weather, laughter, and of course, Instagram exchanges. As my first time hosting a student as a Third Former, it was a great learning experience for me as well. At the end of the day, we hope all admitted students will make the choice that best suits them, and wish that we made their Westy Revisit Day wonderful.
