The Sun Will Rise Again

There will be days when the sun doesn’t seem to shine, even though it’s still there, somewhere beyond the darkness. Sometimes, the hardest part isn’t waiting, but remembering that things can change. Even if you don’t see it coming, the darkest night will end. The shadows don’t last forever, no matter how thick they seem.

The moments when you take a breath, even though it feels heavy. The days when getting out of bed seems like an impossible task, yet you do it anyway. It’s the quiet persistence that makes the difference. Every small stride, each one a victory in disguise. One more step into the light. It’s not going to be an instant transformation. It’s the weight of the darkness slowly, gently lifting. The darkness will begin to shift the way the sun peeks in through the edges of your blinds.

The sun does not erase the night, the same way moments of joy don’t erase sadness. Instead, those moments serve as reminders that the darkness doesn’t last. With each reminder, you are gradually learning how to carry both the light and dark without losing yourself. But this is what it means to live, to stand at the intersection of dusk and dawn, learning not to cling too tightly to one or fear the other. To accept that both belong to you. Some days, the light will feel out of reach, and other days, the darkness will be a distant memory.

The stars do not erase the night either. They soften it, reminding you that there is still something that glows in the darkness. In the same way, when life feels overwhelming, it is important to create your own small moments of light. This could be with a song, a familiar comfort, a gentle conversation, or even a deep breath. These things may not erase the weight you carry, but they remind you that it is not all there is.

You’ll learn how to stand in the light and let the shadows just be. You’ll learn that light doesn’t need to be constant to be real. It just needs to show up, over and over, even in the smallest ways. That’s growth. The sun doesn’t always rise in a blaze. Sometimes it rises softly, slowly, until you realize you’re already in the light, walking forward, already healing. The night will end, the dark will give way, and you will rise with the light.
