How Lonely Are The Masses

How lonely are the masses

How lonely are the masses
Who look up at the tremendous tree
Staring into the rooted depths of divinity
Interconnected the one who came before
And walk away oblivious
Forgetting

How lonely are the masses
Who lay in solidarity
While the rest form a prayer under red bricks
Singing to the cross
Asking why they can’t muster up the faith
And who God is

How lonely are the masses
Whose lips blaze in harshness
Spitting out fire
To their sisters and brothers
Because of the scorching flames they once endured
Engulfing them in a wildfire of detestation, like that of a disease

How lonely are the masses
Whose devotion goes to the glossy opulence once bathed in
Whose eyes look towards that of the handsome pearled object
Rather than the beautiful soul
Whose residences are filled with hideous golden fortunes
Rather than the chorus of the carefree

How delighted am I
To look at the elder tree and shout “thank you!”
To join harmonies hands in hopeful despairs
To spill kind sunlight from my lips
To feast in loveliness of humanity

To be alive!
